Aw man, so that's the story. It's nice to have this backchannel -- I had expected to see you in that class (and almost chatted you about it in my surprise, but now I'm glad I didn't).
So as you probably read, despite my assertiveness in signing up, I got yanked out of it and so did g.r. from my team... we were both really bummed, and we have formed a manager-approved plan to take a day to work through the rest of it together as soon as our stupid code yellow is over (a few weeks, I wish I could name a date). We think we can do it; it was to be a 10-hr class, but there's a codelab with all the exercises, and I got the lecture notes and the slides from the teacher, which should include most/all of the solutions. So although it will not be quite the same, if you'd like to join us, feel free to ask your managers if you can take a day for that. I might even be able to wangle a small conference room.
(I totally understand if the answer is "no, I want to wait for the next real class", but I'm not holding my breath for that personally; it's a real expense to bring a teacher out for two whole days, and the room was packed, which I'm afraid means a lot of the demand was probably satisfied this time. Gaaaaaaaaah.)
