Things I Have Done Within An Hour Of Arriving Home Tonight:
* Moved a dresser (really not as heavy as I was informed it was going to be)
* Got the toilet to stop flooding; diagnosed why + how not to in the future
* Set mousetraps (since apparently I am the only one who knows how to operate the mechanical ones)

I am also (though not yet today) the go-to person for opening stubborn jars, disposing of insects, and fixing the dish disposal, from which I can only conclude that of all of us I am definitely The Woman Of The House. [Which is a nice balance to that "i buy shoes to lose weight" thing from last month.]

Here's to being the WOTH! I think I share your title by virtue of being the only one in the intersection of the circles on the Venn diagram labelled "People who are home, ever" and "People who care about these things." Just put up a pot rack this weekend (though, I did end up calling the landlord over for the bit where the enormous eye bolts are threaded into the ceiling beams because holy crap, that is hard on the forearms and my RSI is crying) and now our kitchen looks classy.

How's life? Is Google treating you well? Depending on how things go out in CA I may be back on the East coast this spring...

Ooooh, pot rack. Sounds awesome, I am green with envy. :)

Our landlord is visiting from Italy next week... we'll see how that goes, it'll be the first time we've met him.

Life is good; work is a little stressful but good. Challenging. "Depending on how things go in CA" means you might be back in spring if things go well, or might be back if things go poorly? Either way it would be awesome to have you back in the area :) but hope that things go well either way. :)
