Still not done packing.
I leave tomorrow, noon-ish -- which is, um, a bit more than twelve hours from now -- so not being packed is probably a bad thing, and sitting around writing livejournal entries instead of finishing is probably a worse thing. However, motivation is in pretty short supply, so...
Room cleaning discoveries:
$25 in cash -- you'd think I wouldn't lose things like that.
Lots of shoes without mates.
Acceptance letters from various places -- absolutely painful to throw out. :P
More angsty poetry than you can shake a stick at.
Approximately zillion broken pens and pencils; about a quarter-zillion working ones.
Airplane peanuts older than some of my siblings.
Lots of Christmas cards and birthday cards and various-other-holiday cards
Some sort of diary page/to-do list dated 12/12/01. It has comments on Final Fantasy 7, which I appear to have been working my way through. Having just hit a point where a major plot bit about our hero Cloud is revealed, my thoughts seem to pretty much have circled around "That is so messed up. That is so cool. That is so messed up." Et cetera. There are also all sorts of notes about talking to the church's RE director about the Christmas pageant, buying presents for friends, e-mailing people, and remembering to bring books to school. Then there's something of a reflection on a robotics meeting, one of the first times I forgot to be shy at L-S. It was a planning meeting, with foam core and exacto knives and duct tape and idealistic plots of how to make things work, but what I wrote down is of course more concerned with me, me, me. To quote: "Am I more myself when I'm hyped on adrenaline and excited and too tired to worry about staying restrained? ... Maybe I should apologize/explain. Maybe not. Robotics. Me. Who would have thought? Bet that cute guy thinks I'm crazy now though. Rats." As you can tell, I was just as deep and thoughtful three years ago as I am now. Unfortunately. :P

anyway, i always pack late for things also, i'm sure you'll be fine and if you forget something atleast you aren't going across country...
p.s. i also found FIFTY bucks in cash in my room...but i'm not surprised that i lost it ;P

I did forget things, of course -- my alarm clock, to start with. So I'm definitely glad to be this near to home. :)
