so, here i am...

I've moved into my temporary dorm room, run into a couple people I know, wondered when my roommate arrives, checked out the neat funky things they're doing at East Campus, got my laptop working with MIT's wireless, and now I'm ... feeling sort of intimidated and lonely, actually, which probably means I should quit sitting alone in my dorm room and go find myself something vaguely social to do, which I think I will.

When do classes start? That'll help a bit, just because then you'll be busy.

Not till a week from Wednesday... haven't even signed up for most of them. I guess orientation doesn't officially start till tomorrow, so there're going to be more events and such going on then. All sorts of busy-ness: things to do and places to be and organized ways to meet people, which is good as I'm a failure at spontaneously meeting people. And free food, which is nice. And eventually I'll get adjusted... I guess it's just gonna be a little strange till then. :/
