Hey, so I was whining earlier about the supreme un-prettiness of the weather around here. So those of you who are also in dark dreary climates, let's share the pain, and you lucky bastards who have actual sun can gloat while you share it. Cheer me up: take a picture out your window (or wherever) please and show me?

(I'm thinking that once the weather here gets a little more springlike I'm going to buy a bunch of wildflower seeds and scatter them in that sad vacant lot in the top picture...)

Puerta Plata was beautiful, and now I'm back, back to the fucking freezing cold!

Oh, but it isn't! Today was actually really pretty, here at least, that sort of lovely crisp alive chilly-but-not-cold weather, and there was actual sun all day. I always forget how much I like the sun... I was totally a ball of happiness all afternoon in spite of my problem set just because omg sun hurrah! Though I'm sure it was prettier there, it looks like soon here won't be bad at all either.

Ya! I walked off the plane, and I almost turned right back around to go back to Puerta Plata. We got stuck in immigration and customs in Miami for God knows how long. We would have missed our flight to Boston if they hadn't held our plane. So ya..that was fun!
