Back at school, which is almost a relief? I love my family dearly but everyone was even more stressed out than usual with the fire and everything else and I was ready to come back here.

Did you know that canned spaghetti has a best-if-consumed-by date? And that it's seriously there for a reason? I guess in my mind anything that comes in a can will last till the apocalypse if you don't open it, but ... well, not. Yuck.

Mmm, generic spaghettios! I sorta feel like my food habits have regressed to elementary school -- canned spaghetti and mac and cheese (occasionally with hot dog chunks) and sandwiches -- but hey, it's not necessarily a bad thing. :)

Everyone is all right, although my little sisters' room was totaled. They're now in my old room, which is inciting all sorts of nasty selfish emotions though of course that's where they should be. The insurance company is being cooperative and accomodating and the demolition company came Friday to knock out the damaged walls and ceiling, which went as planned, and on the whole everything is going as smoothly as possible under the circumstances, whatever that says. :/ But hey, everyone's OK enough to stress about it, which is a *good* thing.

I didn't have the nerve to -- I cooked it in the microwave, stared at it, sighed, and dumped it down the disposal. Yuck. :P
