So remind me, why can't we all just get along again? There's so much passive-aggressive nastiness floating around that it's more of a problem than the stuff we're all getting worked up about. If life were a movie, this would be about where something terrible and horrible happens and we're all forced to band together and resolve our differences in order to get over it. Here, catastrophe catastrophe catastrophe...

The scary thing is, I know exactly how you feel.

Though I'm afraid that, realistically, people under pressure are no more likely to cooperate than normal, and probably less likely... which, uh, might a bit of a problem at MIT. :P

Yup, good point -- we're all used to making excuses for each other along the lines of "don't mind him, he's really hosed this week", and it probably helps that we're all in mostly the same boat... but really the most awesome thing about being here (IMHO, at least) is being surrounded by crazy brilliant fantastic people, so everyone being cranky is even more frustrating than it would normally be...
