OK, note to self: in future, take advantage of when things go right rather than waiting around till they go wrong again.

Time to go hit the Ben & Jerry's stash.

Given that nothing terrible has happened, really, just stupid little stuff I should be able to blow off, I can only conclude that I'm letting environmental stuff magnify the bad emotions... which as a rule means either I'm not eating right, I'm not sleeping right, it's PMS, or it's the lack of light. I'm fairly sure the first three are inapplicable, so unsurprisingly the most likely culprit is the daylight hours dwindling as winter starts to peek around the corner (I love winter, I just hate the lack of light) and the urge to hibernate, or something.

...which I allow to feed back on itself and worsen on days like today, when I get back from my 1:00 class and I'm really tired in spite of having gotten plenty of sleep, so I take a nap and completely waste the rest of the daylight, which, y'know, then means I'm not getting much daylight and continuing to feel bad. Anyone have any suggestions on full-spectrum lamps? I've already got a ridiculous amount of lighting in my room, but there may be something to be said for the right kind of lighting...

I don't know. I guess you could try one...I've got ridiculously bad lighting, too. Damn waffle ceiling swallows it all up. And (you'll like this) I found out why linoleum floors are better: my carpet is soaked because the rain is leaking in, and my carpet is moldy and smells. So, be thankful for warm and dry and lots of light (even if it isn't the right kind) and I hope you start feeling better soon! It could also be that we really haven't *had* any sunlight at all...stupid rain...ruining fall and leaf peeping....

So besides the Institute fluorescent on the ceiling and above the sink, and a slightly less horrible fluorescent on the wall, I have a floor lamp, surprisingly bright christmas lights all around, a desk lamp, and a clip-on lamp up by my loft. If they're all on people poke their heads in from the hallway and go "oh my god it's bright in here." It's *almost* enough to satisfy my light craving. Almost.

Rain and grossness in the carpet? Yuck, sorry to hear it. We've got leaks in a few rooms here, but I can see how the carpet would make things much worse. :/

But it was sunny today, and I ate lunch outside, which makes me just generally more happy overall. :D
