Being paranoid about walking to E51 at 2am:

a.) is really fantastically stupid because it's almost always within sight of both my dorm and several blue-light cop-calling safety poles and it's only a three minute walk anyways

b.) is sorta justified because it's 2am in the city and the street's silent and deserted and I am very obviously a 19-year-old girl who knows zero self-defense all alone

c.) good god alison go to sleep already.

Option c's probably the best one. There are lots of other things going on but it's easiest to talk about the stupid insignificant ones. Currently working with the temporary from-home slooooow dooooooom computer, which is still much better than nothing at least.

...why would you go to e51 at 2am? moreover, I'll bet you do know some self defense. Kick 'em where it hurts, and walk like you have a purpose.

*g* I have the walking-with-purpose down, at least. Someone back at L-S told me they never wanted to approach me in the halls 'cause I always looked like I had somewhere to go... haven't gotten any comments of the sort here, but I think that's because lots more people seem to do that by nature here.

And I had a perfectly legitimate reason for being at E51 at 2am. Really. Absolutely.
