Tagged by [livejournal.com profile] blue_everglades for the weird habits meme.

The Rules: The first player of this game starts with the topic "five weird habits" and people who get tagged need to write an entry about their five weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next five people to be tagged and link to their web journals.

Oh boy.

... I like eating bell peppers whole and raw -- no cutting them up or anything, just biting in. Delicious. But most of you knew that already.

... I've got an obsessive-compulsive mental spellchecker: I can't *not* notice if things are wrong, and generally I can't help but point it out too. I realize that this makes me sort of an asshole.

... When I go to sleep at night, I have to be really really sure my door is locked. Sometimes I end up checking three or four times during my nightly routine before I actually get in bed to sleep. And I sleep flat on my stomach with the covers up around my head pretty much regardless of the weather. (Otherwise the monsters will get me. :P )

... Possibly the weirdest of these: Sometimes I write down the good things that happen: little moment-vignettes to come back to later when I'm feeling depressed. There are a couple of private entries in this journal as well as scraps of paper and random text files that sometimes I read over and reminisce about when I need something to cheer me up.

... I'm a total hypochondriac with psychological disorders -- can't read about them without at least wondering if I have them. I had a phase where I was pretty sure I could attribute all the problems in my life to being avoidant... still sorta halfway convinced.

I think I'm about the last one on my flist to get hit with this meme, and I'm far too lazy to check. [livejournal.com profile] shaktool, [livejournal.com profile] minttown1, [livejournal.com profile] rainbwfairie, [livejournal.com profile] summerghosts, and [livejournal.com profile] amoretti, consider yourselves tagged if you want. Or not, if you don't feel like it or have done it already.

[livejournal.com profile] rockopowder, on the other hand, is tagged whether she wants to be or not.

My policy on being tagged in memes is usually to respond to the meme in a comment to the person who tagged me. :P

This one was hard for me. Not because I don't do weird things -- good heavens no -- but because I don't do many weird things out of habit. I'm mostly spontaneous.

1. I rarely sit straight in a chair with my back against the back support and my feet on the ground. I will sit in any position except this.

2. All day, every day, I think about good things happening to me. In my imagnination, all of my friends have nothing but good things to say about me, and love to talk about me. I have a feeling my eternal happiness and optimism has something to do with this.

3. When I finish brushing my teeth, I tap my toothbrush on the sink four times to knock some of the water out of the bristles. Invariably, the sound of these taps reminds me of the beginning of the classic Final Fantasy victory song.

4. When I'm sitting in class and I'm tired and trying to stay awake, I exercise my eyes. I imagine I look like a paranoid maniac as my eyes dance around the room. I often cross my eyes too.

5. I have slept in my dorm room bed approximately twice this semester. I usually sleep on the floor with a blanket instead. Sometimes I sleep on benches or in chairs.

I have slept in my dorm room bed approximately twice this semester.

I meant last semester... I haven't slept there at all this semester.
