but i'm picturing a tiny bakery/sandwich shop kinda place: round some obscure corner and be faced with a bright, sunny window rack of pastries behind a terrace of umbrellas defending a few tables from the new mexico sun (the local book club starts to filter in for their wednesday afternoon meeting, filling the two tables near the pinon tree and the "specials" chalkboard with chatter and muffin crumbs) ... rich green plants bloom bright in deep terra cotta pots lining the front of the adobe building... over the door with the big handmade "open" sign, there's a balcony attached to the second-floor apartment...
