So MIT has this January "externship" program they do, more-or-less a month-long internship with an MIT alum, as I understand it; the deadline was two hours ago, and I'd put off applying till the last moment, and of course so had everyone else so the site was swamped -- I couldn't access nearly all the pages I tried -- which is a really awful reason not to apply. Dammit.

I really just need to get my act back together -- I had it for a little while there, but now it's gone again. Grr.

On the other hand, I have evil plots to make fried ice cream tomorrow, and the stuff to do it with, which is pretty cool. And I voted (absentee). And I brought out the fuzzy slippers today, which are awesome. And it's November, and the air outside is cold and crisp and gorgeous. Yay, focusing on the (trivial but) positive.
