So "A Midsummer Night's Dream" is my favorite Shakespeare play of all the ones I've read/seen/etc. Aaaand the Commonwealth Shakespeare company is doing it this summer on the Boston Common, aaaaand I'm going to be thoroughly out of state and unable to see it. Boo.

*But* the Boston Theater Works is currently (till tomorrow) doing a really fantastic production, and I saw it two nights ago, cleverly before I started to feel crappy and sick yesterday, and it was pretty awesome, and downright hilarious. Yay!

I thought the BTW production was pretty amazing, and it's likely much better than the production on the Common, if only because they can play to people who are near to the stage and can catch everything...

Was it fullish when you went? (I was there the first night, and it wasn't at all packed, but I hope it got better...)

It was actually relatively sparsely attended -- I'd been hoping that it was just because it was a Wednesday night, though. But the low number of people meant that guy I went with and I got seats at the very front and center, which was really great.
