Mar. 13th, 2008 10:44 pmIs this week over yet?
No?
*hides under blankets*
(This is of course entirely my own fault for procrastinating.)
Performances in 21M.340 (jazz) class today: awesome. I have nothing but respect for the three gentlemen who played sax for us for two and a half hours straight (and the two guys from the class who did piano and "bass" on the piano), and everything sounds so different with the correct instrumentation. Different and ... legitimate. Or something. Further convincing me that I want to learn to play saxophone, once I graduate and start work and get settled and can afford it. :p
And now to write that UAP proposal and learn the bit for choir alto solo auditions. (Totally not going to get it, because I've looked at the list of people auditioning and there are several better than me. But hey, lots of the sopranos audition even though J is amazing, and the tenors in spite of S being amazing -- it'll be a growing experience.)

And honestly, you are one of the people that made MIT fun for me. Your energy in choir, your Heroes discussions, and everything else. So yeah...
And wasn't Avenue Q amazing???

Date: 2008-03-21 12:36 am (UTC)Aww. Thanks. I miss choir, but I just wasn't enjoying the music, and I usually end up staying in lab later, or going back after my PE class. Hopefully will get a paper out? Maybe? if I'm lucky?
Have a great spring break!
