While working at the library today I definitely came up with some brilliant idea to write here. It's gone now, of course, but I just wanted to defend the fact that it WAS there, really. And it wasn't a ranting idea, either, I think, which sets it apart from nine out of ten entries here anyways...
Oh yeah, and these lines have been kicking around in my bag for ages and I needed to get them out, somewhere. Congratulations, my chosen victims.
The feel of the sky before a storm
is a symbol in search of meaning
dense and heavy though it's only air
Foreboding, shadowing
clouds sliding together into a whole
you might need to be crazy
to tempt it
i think sometimes
i am.
I blame Othello for this one, and my Shakespeare class in general, and of course it was an almost-stormy day when I wrote this, surprise, surprise. Also the day I forgot it was blue week and went to the wrong class... whee. Anyways. Feedback welcome as always; I'm less than fond of the third line. Maybe it needs a more blatant Othello reference.
Oh, and can we say fun with enjambment? ... yes, I knew we could. :D
