So I have this friend who's currently off at boarding school in Vermont. He wanted to come back home to MA this weekend, he told me two weeks ago, and he needed somewhere to stay. OK, said I, I'll check with the parentals, it'll probably be fine.
And so I checked with the parentals, and It Was Fine.
So I IM'ed him last week, I think, and told him that. Also reminded him that my house is small and my family large so breathing space might not be available. He logged off, told me later his computer crashed. Though I think I resent the message I have NO idea whether he ever got it or not.
I tried emailing him Wednesday, though I'm not sure he still uses the address I tried. It didn't bounce, though, so presumably he does. No reply.
IM'ed him yesterday, several times. No response. So I put up the "I'm sleeping" away message and left it running last night. He replied with one message -- "sorry" -- regarding, one presumes, my ranting about "why aren't you responding dangit?!" Then he logged off. I found the message this morning, felt exasperated, added something to the "I'm at school" away message along the lines of "email me now, you idiot". No emails yet, though I haven't the faintest if he's seen it.
I'm ticked. I don't know if he's planning on just randomly showing up tonight or tomorrow, expecting a place to stay, or if he's given up and decided to stay at school, or found somewhere else to stay. It affects my weekend, and my family's weekend, and I need to know NOW please. Aaaaargh!
To make me feel better, I'll now ramble about what I'm wearing. Comfy blue jeans, white three-quarter sleeved collared shirt over black tank top. Grey socks, black shoes, silver wristwatch. Ponytail. Silver v-shaped celtic-knot-type-necklace -- very pretty, obtained at KRF. When I get up to leave the school computer lab, I'll put my black leather jacket back on, and pick up my red messenger bag and black planner that everyone thinks is a CD case because it's square & about the right size. And I'm wearing the black and pinkishred scarf I made last year, which is nice and thick, and quite literally as long as I am tall. Yay!
