Priorities or lack thereof.
May. 10th, 2004 08:17 am So there's no possible way for me to get a 5 on the E&M portion of the AP Physics, considering I have done effectively nothing in the way of studying for it and it wasn't covered in class, except for some basic stuff from last year that I've mostly forgotten. I think I've been conning myself into believing that something about all the things that are just analogues of the mechanics will somehow make me be able to guess it. If this were true, then having an entire half of the exam cover this stuff would be silly. So it's probably not.
I'll probably get a 5 on the mechanics, though -- I feel so conceited saying that, sorry, and I just jinxed it, hm? But that doesn't matter 'cause MIT won't give you credit unless you get fives on both halves. So really, given that in any sane universe I wouldn't get a five on the electricity and magnetism, there is no reason for me to take the test at all. Except that everyone who isn't taking the test in my physics class was supposed to be doing a project, which I desperately don't want to do, so I'll take at least the mech half of the test.
Also, if I take just the mechanics, I may yet be able to make the Fountain meeting, which would be really, really nice, seeing as today's our deadline.
On the other hand I'm morbidly curious to see how I'd do on the E&M with no preparation whatsoever. Hm.
